(Ioannina, 1993)

Graduated in Biological Applications and Technology at the University of Ioannina, Greece, with a specialization in Molecular Biology and Conservation Genetics.  Afterward, she did a Master of Science (MSc) in Palaeontology-Geobiology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece with a thesis entitled “Taxonomic study of a Pleistocene large bovine (Bovidae, Mammalia) from Kythera Island, Greece”. During her master, she performed an Erasmus + internship at the Institut Català de Paleontología Miquel Crusafont (ICP), where she studied and emphasized on the systematic of suid remains from Abocador de Can Mata (Catalonia, Spain). Her thesis focuses on the Miocene Suidae from the Vallès-Penedès Basin (NE Iberian Peninsula) during the Aragonian / Vallesian transition, with emphasis on the systematic study of previously unpublished remains, as well as their paleodietary adaptations and paleoenvironmental inferences based on the analysis of tooth enamel stable isotopes. Her project is funded by a FI grant from the Agència de Gestió d'Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca (AGAUR), the Departament de Recerca i Universitats, Generalitat de Catalunya, co-founded by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus (FSE+) (ref. 2023 FI-1 00396).
