The Museum of the Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont (ICP) is a space for the dissemination of paleontology. Through its exhibitions and activities, it aims to make known the processes followed to excavate, study, and conserve the paleontological heritage, as well as to showcase some of the emblematic fossils of its collection.

Exhibitions

Through the interactive exhibition "Today You Investigate!" on the first floor of the Museum, you will learn about the techniques used by paleontologists to study the past, as well as the necessary tools to do so. Additionally, you will get to know species that are already extinct, such as the Titanosaur, a reptile that could reach up to 12 meters in length, or Laia, Jordi, and Pau, three hominoid primates that lived in Catalonia millions of years ago and provide some clues about human evolution.

On the first floor, you won't miss encountering the Triceratops, a herbivorous dinosaur with three horns originally from the United States. The exhibition "El Triceratops torna a Sabadell" tells the story of the acquisition of the replica by the ICP Museum, its journey throughout the Iberian Peninsula, and its return to Sabadell after being claimed by the citizens. It has become an icon of the city, and at the Museum, you will learn its history.

And with a bit of luck, you may see the professionals working in the Preparation and Conservation laboratory ensuring that fossils can be studied and preserved for many millions of years more.

In addition to all this, we offer workshops, family activities, and guided tours on weekends for adults and children to delve into the world of paleontology. And if you are part of the school community, we also have activity proposals for students of all levels.

If you haven't visited us yet, we are waiting for you!
