ISPH 2011, July 18-20, Barcelona

The First International Symposium on Paleohistology will be held in Sabadell (Barcelona, Spain), in the Caixa Unnim Auditorium -a beautiful modernist building placed next to Espai Miquel Crusafont, the ICP headquarters in this city. 

Sabadell is one of the main cities in Catalunya, located at slightly more than 20 km north‐west of Barcelona. It is easily accessible from Barcelona – El Prat airport and is very well connected to Barcelona by train and road.

Probably your best option if you come from abroad, as it is well communicated by plane, train and buses from almost everywhere. An amazing Mediterranean city, where you can find everything: from old to very new buildings, culture and leisure.

• There are plenty of nice places to stay in the city, which may also be a bit expensive, as BCN is full of tourists and international events almost all year around. We have selected some sites where you can look for hotels and others places to stay. We would recommend that you make your reservation with time. Trains going to Sabadell, where the symposium will take place, depart from several places in the city -such as Plaça Catalunya, Sants Station, Provença (with Balmes) Street, Arc de Triomf, and others. Sabadell

The city could be an option where cheaper hotels can be found. It is a 200,000 inhabitants city, with nice cultural and leisure spaces. Among them the Museum of the Institut Català de Paleontologia, recently renewed.

You can come by train from Barcelona (either Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat or RENFE), or take a taxi from the airport –should take around 45 minutes.
